Revisual Labs created a set of modular digital and physical exhibits to communicate the Landscape Approach of Agroecology and encourage collaboration between the Consortium for Agroecological Transformations (CAT) and their stakeholders.

The Consortium for Agroecological Transformations (CAT), in partnership with organisations such as the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and the Shakti Foundation, commissioned Revisual Labs to develop exhibition collateral communicating the Landscape Approach of agroecology.
CAT works to support India’s 40 million farmers in transitioning towards agroecological practices that enable a sustainable and equitable food system. Our role was to explain the nuances of the Landscape Approach through a set of sustainable and modular exhibit ideas and collateral across physical and digital spaces. We developed a few ideas for two exhibitions that took place in February 2026.

The Narrative

An underlying narrative of Why, What and How guided the flow of the exhibition. Each of these questions about the Landscape Approach of Agroecology was answered by one exhibit that together created a cohesive experience.

A flowchart detailing the narrative that was followed to conceptualise the exhibition, going from Why to What to How.
A photograph from a large board at the event, with 6 questions about agroecology and percentage scales for each, along which attendees have places stickers to mark their answer to the questions.

Why: Perception Quiz

This quiz took the form of a participatory data visualisation, designed to set context, engage the audience, and understand their assumptions about agroecology, thus making a case for why it is an important topic of discussion.

What: The Agroecology Nexus

The core idea of the landscape approach was captured through an interactive network diagram. It visualises the interconnections and interdependence between the different strategic areas of transformation, thus capturing its inherent complexity.

he Agroecology Nexus, which is a network diagram visualising interconnections between 33 elements of agroecology, like Commons and Biodiversity Management, Seed Systems, Panchayati Raj institutions, Branding and Promotion, etc.
Two 16 piece puzzles with illustrations of interventions in agroecological landscapes, annotated with action steps that can be taken by stakeholders to make the intervention possible.

How: Parts of a Picture

The last piece of the narrative took shape as a jigsaw puzzle. It symbolised different stakeholder groups coming together to make agroecological interventions possible through distinct but coordinated actions. It illuminated a path to make the transformation possible.

This is an incredible group of people who care about environmental sustainability and are eager to spend time to learn about the problem before offering insights. The final products were deeply appreciated by our partners. Good partner to huddle with for communication challenges.
